Clear design demands a clear stance. Since 2004, KATTER_furniture’s range has proven that it’s not only the mainstream that can produce enduring design. Rather than relying on the usual business concepts, the self-taught desinger and founder of the company, Jiri M.R. Katter successfully makes use of the power of cooperation: the majority of the designs are realised in close collaboration with other designers.

The products are defined and unified by two fundamental qualities: a formal language stripped back to the essentials, and the best possible manufacturing standards. In addition, KATTER_furniture is rooted in both the precision of Swiss production, and in the innovative approaches of the German manufacturing industry. This refusal to resort to cheap prduction facilities is an essential part of the company philosophy, guaranteeing uniqueness and durability.

The originality of the ideas has not passed others by: it appears that, despite its still tender years, the range has been ‘refined’ by numerous copy-cat designs.
